InvestiGators: Off the Hook – Funny Children’s Graphic Novel by John Patrick Green

Crime-fighting alligators, ridiculous villains and LOTS of laughs!

Mango and Brash are back in InvestiGators: Off the Hook, the third brilliantly silly adventure in John Patrick Green’s bestselling InvestiGators series.

This time villains Crackerdile and Hookline and Slinker are causing chaos – there’s a bank robbery, a secret lair and even a kidnapped giant chicken to contend with. Luckily our alligator detectives have their Very Exciting Spy Technology (V.E.S.T.s) at the ready.

Packed with colourful comic-style illustrations, action, mysteries, wordplay and gloriously daft jokes, it’s a particularly good choice for children who love Dog Man, Bunny vs Monkey and funny graphic novels.

And this is one of those books that can be a real winner with children who aren’t naturally drawn to traditional chapter books. Reviews from parents repeatedly mention children reading the series independently, rereading the books and laughing out loud, while professional reviews praise the wordplay, illustrations and its appeal to reluctant readers.

A great gift for young readers, whether it’s for a birthday, Christmas, a holiday read or simply a new book to get them happily reading.
